Tri Counties Legal Docs offers Process Service for a wide variety of documents, using only registered and bonded professional process servers.

Examples of documents served:

  • Civil Documents including Summons & Complaints

  • Subpoena’s for Personal Appearance

  • Pre Litigation Documents

We typically complete services within 3-7 days, with the Proof of Service to you in 1-2 days. “Rush” services are available for circumstances that require immediate attention. Often we are able to provide same-day service, if needed.

Court Filings


Tri Counties Legal Docs processes court filing in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties.  Just fax or mail us the documents, fully prepared, and we will have them filed at the appropriate court within 3 days.  In most cases, with our Rush Service, we can file the documents immediately (same or next day) but please call us first to confirm.

Postal Checks


Tri Counties Legal Docs can perform a postal check in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties in order to assist with the Service of Process.  Simply provide us the name and last known address; we will have the request submitted to the appropriate postal office within 3 days with results to you within 24 hours of receipt.

On-site Photocopying


Tri Counties Legal Docs is licensed and bonded as required by the California Business & Professions Code as a Professional Photocopier.

We provide on-site and off-site photocopying services.  We understand that discovery is very important in all litigation and we are here to assist you in any way necessary.

  • Preparation and Service of Subpoena & Supporting Documents

  • Notifying all Parties Involved

  • Photocopying of Medical and Business Records

  • Forwarding Witness Fees

  • Bate Stamping

  • Copies for your records provided hard-copy, Data CD or Uploaded to your Secure Website as per your preference.

Note: In all Workers’ Compensation cases, Insurance Carrier is billed directly.

Tri Counties Legal Docs realizes that many of today’s businesses are upgrading hard-copy files to data storage filing systems.  We provide services to transfer your paper files onto a Data CD for easy access and storage of important documents in easy to read .tif or .pdf files as per your preference.

On-site Notary Public


A Notary Public is a person of proven integrity appointed by the government to serve the public as an impartial witness in taking acknowledgements, administering oaths and affirmation, and performing other acts authorized by law.

Tri Counties Legal Docs has a mobile notary available to provide convenient service at your home, office or another site, if you so choose. We service the County of San Luis Obispo and are available 7 days per week by appointment only.

We can handle all your Notary need including loan/mortgage documents. We are completely certified and bonded as Loan Signing Agents and members of the National Notary Association.

We can receive your documents by email, fax or courier (whichever is easiest and most convenient for you) and can provide return service of documents via Fed Ex, UPS or USPS.
